Hard reset – Horizon digital TV box

It is worth to do a hard reset of the Horizon digital TV box modem in case of any problems with signal reception, both when it comes to TV and Internet signal. When doing the reset, the signal (antenna) cable must be properly connected to the digital TV box. The digital TV box must be on.

  • the hard reset will restore the factory settings of digital TV box modem
    Once done, the names and passwords of wireless networks will be restored to the values entered by the manufacturer. You can read those names and passwords on the label attached to the bottom of the device or via the digital TV box menu.
  • the hard reset will not delete the planned or recorder items
 
  1. On the back panel, next to the power sockets, you will find the “modem reset” button. To do the hard reset, press this button and hold it for 30 seconds.

  2. Wait for the Wi-Fi symbol on the front panel to reappear. Its presence means that the device finished resetting the modem to factory settings.
