Pairing the Horizon remote control with the TV set

The remote control enables the operation of a set-top box and provides access to basic functions of a TV set, such as:

 
  • Switching the TV set on and off
  • Volume control
  • Changing the source signal
 

In order to pair the Horizon remote control with the TV set, please follow the below steps:

  • 1. Pairing the remote control

    Step 1 - switch on the TV set with the use of the TV remote control.

     

    Step 2 - direct the Horizon remote control at the TV set. Press and hold the bottom VOL button (3). Next, press and hold the signal source button (2). Hold both buttons for 5 to 10 seconds until the TV (1) button lights in red.

    Step 3 - release the VOL and the signal source buttons.

     

    Step 4 - enter the TV code (you will find it in the below search bar).

     

    Note: if there is no code for your TV set in the search bar, go to item 2. No code in the search bar

     
     
     

    Step 5 - check whether the remote control has been correctly paired with the TV set. For this purpose, direct the set-top box remote control at the TV set and hold the TV button for 1 minute. If the TV set does not switch off, repeat all actions starting with Step 1 and enter a different code of the TV set.

     

    Step 6 - if the TV set switches off, press and hold the REC button for 5 seconds to save the settings.

     

 

Note: use the below instructions only if there is no code for your TV set in the search bar

  • 2. No code in the search bar

    Step 1 - switch on the TV set with currently used TV remote control.

     

    Step 2 - direct the set-top box remote control at the TV set. Press and hold the bottom VOL button (3). Next, press and hold the signal source button (2). Hold both buttons until the TV (1) button lights in red.

    Step 3 - enter the following code: 9999.

     

    Step 4 - direct the Horizon set-top box remote control at the TV set and hold the TV button until the TV set is switched on (at this time, the remote control will be paired – it may take more than 15 minutes). Having switched off the TV set, release the TV button immediately.

     

    Step 5 - if the TV set is switched off, press and hold the REC recording button for 5 seconds to save the settings.
